September 29, 2008 - More than 140 educators, advocates, elected officials, nonprofit and foundation executives, and business leaders attended CPE’s event that featured noted author Dr. Alejandra Rincón and the release of our new report showcasing the need for tuition equity in Colorado, prepared for the Higher Education Access Alliance.

March 6, 2008 - CPE hosted “Payday Lending: The Evidence and the Need for Reform” - a discussion and luncheon on payday lending, including evidence from research studies, recent action in other states, as well as reform efforts in Colorado. The event at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center featured several prominent speakers and attracted a broad audience of policymakers and nonprofit leaders.
